Nickelodeon TMNT Stop-Motion Studio
A kid-friendly stop-motion animation experience that let fans create their own Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles scenes through guided, hands-on play.
We designed and built an interactive stop-motion animation experience for Nickelodeon to promote the return of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. The installation featured a custom Android application designed specifically for children, guiding them step by step through capturing frames using their TMNT toys to create a short stop-motion animation.
The interface focused on clarity and ease of use, helping younger participants understand pacing, movement, and progression as they built their scenes frame by frame.
Once complete, the system automatically stitched the frames together into a finished animation and appended a branded end card promoting the new series. The result was an approachable, creative experience that combined play, storytelling, and brand engagement into a single interactive moment.
